Copper River Salmon

Considered the finest seafood in the world, Copper River Salmon from Alaska live up to their reputation. It's a combination of nature and nurture that makes them great. They begin their life-journey 300 miles upstream in the icy, glacier-fed waters of the Copper River, just east of Prince William sound near the town of Cordova, Alaska.

When they return from the ocean several years later to reproduce, nature has specially prepared them to make the turbulent trip to their ancient spawning grounds. Their bodies have extra mass and succulent Omega-3 oils (which doctors say are good for your heart) to protect them from the freezing waters and to see them through the difficult trek home.
This preparation by nature gives Copper River salmon an extra richness and flavor, making them an absolute culinary treat. Combine this with exceptional care provided by Cordova's fishing fleet and processors, and a Copper River Salmon is one prized fish.
